AR-chitect: Build Your Own AR-15 – 2-Day Course (Friday/Saturday)

The rifle will be an enhanced AR-15 rifle with a 12.7-inch handguard and 16-inch barrel. As a final product the student will have a purpose-driven rifle built from high quality parts having been individually selected by XCAL’s experienced instructors. Instructors will contact the students prior to class, before placing orders, to advise them of the specifics of the rifle they will be building. Some of the parts will be standardized to streamline the education process, but each student will leave with the rifle they built.

Not only do they keep an expertly constructed rifle, but they also leave with the necessary skills to modify that rifle or build others in the future. Due to ATF Compliance and differences in state laws, this class will only be available for Virginia State Residents.

Saturday, January 18, 12:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Ammunition and protective gear are available in the XCAL Store. Virginia law requires a participant to be either a U.S. Citizen with a valid government photo ID (Driver’s License, Real ID or U.S. Passport); a naturalized citizen with a valid government photo ID; or a Permanent U.S. Resident with a valid government photo ID. Due to ATF Compliance and differences in state laws, this class is only available for Virginia State Residents.

• Prerequisite: Open to Virginia state residents only
• Gear Required: Do NOT bring a firearm to this class. We will be building the gun you use.
• Tools Required: No tools required
• Ammunition Required: Minimum of 40 rounds for Zeroing
• Recommended Gear: Pen and paper
• Dress: Closed-toe shoes (no heels) and comfortable, appropriate clothing you don’t mind getting a little oily
