ABOUT THIS COURSE
XCAL’s Carbine Basics course will guide students from the origins of the carbine and AR platform to live-fire exercises from various shooting positions. Carbine Basics will take the beginner through basic nomenclature, field stripping, basic marksmanship and advanced shooting positions.
This step-by-step approach allows each student ample time in a relaxed environment to ask questions and develop a deeper understanding of basic carbine operation and the fundamentals of marksmanship. Students will be able to browse and test upgrade options available for their firearm or work with an instructor to identify key features for a new purchase.
**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR THE AR PLATFORM**
For instruction specific to other platforms, please contact XCAL Training at: [email protected]
After completing the Carbine Basics course, students are ready to move on to the Intermediate Carbine course.
Carbines may be rented with prior notice. Please contact the Training Department for rental availability. Ammunition and protective gear are available in the XCAL Store.
