INTERMEDIATE TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE
ABOUT THIS COURSE
This two-hour hands-on class will focus on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) interventions through multiple simulated scenarios focusing on rapid and appropriate medical intervention based upon the circumstances of the incident and wounding patterns of the victim(s). Participants will be run through a variety of increasingly challenging scenarios that will entail various wounding patterns requiring appropriate medical actions and interventions in the proper sequence. Students will leave feeling comfortable and confident in the application of TECC interventions. Participants will alternate as responders and victims for the scenarios. Students will receive a Certificate of Completion for the course which will make them eligible to take the Advanced Active Bystander — High Threat Scenario Class.
Prerequisite: Active Bystander – Beginner Course
COURSE REQUIRMENTS
- Ability to move a person 10 feet with dynamic movements to apply medical interventions on the ground, bent over and kneeling.
- Comfortable with TECC medical applications being placed on oneself.
- Wear clothes that can get dirty.
- Minimum of 10 students required for the class.
