Gunstructor Pistol Building: Striker-Fired Semi-Automatic 9mm Luger Course

In this hands-on, flagship course, students will learn to build their own striker-fired, semi-automatic, compact pistol chamber 9mm Luger. Using high-quality components from Grit Grips and XCAL, students will assemble their pistols from start to finish, gaining practical skills and knowledge in firearm construction, customization and maintenance. By the end of the class, participants will walk away with a fully functional pistol they personally built, along with the confidence to replicate the process independently.

This course serves as a continuation of XCAL’s innovative approach to firearm education, similar to how the AR-chitect course revolutionized rifle building. Whether you’re a firearms enthusiast or a hands-on learner, this course offers a unique blend of practical skills and in-depth knowledge.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

• Pistol Construction: Step-by-step assembly of a striker-fired, semi-automatic pistol.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving common issues during and after assembly.
• Sights Pressing: Proper techniques for pressing and aligning sights.
• Ammunition Selection: Understanding and choosing the right ammunition for performance and safety.
• Striker-Fired Pistol History: A brief overview of the development and mechanics of striker-fired firearms.
• Red Dot Mounting: Optional instruction on mounting red dot sights for improved accuracy.
• Accessories & Holster Selection: Tips for selecting compatible accessories and holsters based on individual needs.

• Triggers: All students will use a standardized 4.5 lb OEM trigger for uniformity.

 COURSE STRUCTURE

• Four-Hour Instruction Block: Hands-on building with expert guidance.

• Location: Available only to Virginia residents due to ATF compliance and state law restrictions.
• Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
