ABOUT THIS COURSE
Being a rifleman is good, but being part of a team of riflemen is better. Rifleman Skills 2 will take the foundational skills students have learned in previous classes like Rifleman Skills 1, Carbine 2 and Carbine 3 and build on them to expand the student’s understanding of their rifle and now their team. This class focuses on Introducing you to small unit tactics, simple but efficient communication, and further development of your skills in using a rifle for the wide variety of tasks it is designed for. [During the evening after the range is cold, we will also provide a short class on survival and field craft skills like fire building/camouflaging, water collection considerations, and shelter considerations.]
The final exercise will be a culminating event taking the skills you’ve learned to hastily plan, coordinate, and execute an ambush on a target position with your 4-man team under the watchful eye of our training cadre.
Both days of training with be conducted off-site at Echo Valley Training Center, so bring all ammunition and food with you. Field craft class and dinner will take place at the end of day 1 and students have the choice of staying to camp overnight or going home and returning the next morning.
