Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Summer Camp, Session A
June 20 – July 1, Monday – Friday, 7:45am – 12pm
(Weekend Days Not Included)
This summer, XCAL is pleased to offer three separate two-week sessions of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu immersion camp! Each class will be led by our very own Dojo Manager and Head Instructor, David Porter. You can anticipate your child learning an incredible amount of martial arts each day in addition to supervised tactical gaming plus training with our state-of-the-art neuro reactive equipment, REAXING. Drinks and snacks can be provided if allergies or dietary restrictions allow it. In the event that your child needs specific nutritional/medical items with them during the day then we are flexible in discussing how to handle your child’s needs appropriately.
Here is a general breakdown of how each day will operate in each week of Camp:
- 7:45-8:30 Drop Off, stowing of personal items
- 8:30-9:30 BJJ Session 1
- 9:30-10:00 REAXING Training
- 10:00-10:45 Games and Snacks in Kid Zone
- 10:45-11:45 BJJ Session 2
- 11:45-12:00 Pickup, collecting personal items
Our sessions utilize a progressive curriculum that is new-practitioner friendly while also building character and discipline in your child. The events of each day will have your mini-grapplers leaving happy, proud, and tuckered out yet ready for more learning and development. When you consider that each stripe on a white belt takes 20 classes and that typically takes six to eight weeks of training to accumulate, each two-week camp is a condensed training evolution.
We also offer the ability to take a single week of any part of the summer camps if desired or if there is a scheduling conflict. In addition to the martial arts training, we will be playing games that nurture a healthy competitive spirit while also engaging in a social environment with other kids. Some of these will be in the form of board games like checkers, Othello, sudoku, etc., while half of the time we will be out on the REAXING equipment learning to balance our physical and cognitive abilities. XCAL Martial Arts is thrilled to level up your child this summer in a skill that can empower, mature, and help build a better martial artist.
