STEELX Rifle Match

Step beyond our traditional SteelX Competitions into our Rifle Event—a unique, hands-on experience designed for shooters of all levels. Whether you’re newer to rifle shooting, looking to test your skills, or eager to challenge yourself in a friendly competitive setting, this event is for you.

In a stress-free, supportive environment, you’ll engage targets at extended distances, collect valuable data, and run through mock competition stages modeled after real-world PRS (Precision Rifle Series) and NRL (National Rifle League) Hunter matches. Guided by experienced instructors from the competition, tactical sniper, and hunting communities, you’ll gain practical insights into stage planning, gear optimization, and positional techniques.

Competitors will be shooting in one of two Divisions: Carbine and Precision. Both divisions will shoot mirrored stages, but the distances will be adjusted to reflect the mechanical accuracy of the rifles within. This event is the perfect blend of training, testing, and tactical fun, giving you the confidence and skills to elevate your long-range shooting game.

Precision Division

1. Bolt or Gas, chambered in .223 – .30cal ZEROED (MAX 1 Rifle per student, per Division)
2. Variable power optic, with adjustable windage and elevation
3. Minimum 2 magazines IF rifle uses removable magazines (internal magazine rifles are okay)
4. No .50 or Magnum cartridges

Carbine Division

1. AR style, 14.5-20in Barrel ZEROED (MAX 1 Rifle per student, per Division)
2. Rifle optic system, RDS/Magnifier or LPVO. Iron Sights will NOT be viable.
3. Minimum 2 magazines

No Green tip or LAP rounds.

Requirements

1. Carbine Division round count 120 minimum: 180 to be safe.
2. Precision Division round count 60 minimum: 80 to be safe.
3. Eye and Ear Protection
4. Weather-appropriate attire
5. Close-toed shoes

1. Support bag (Ex: Armageddon Shmedium)
2. Tripod w/ rifle mounting device
3. Shooting Mats, Camping stools, other comfort items
