Active Bystander: Beginner
This foundational course empowers participants to respond confidently to emergencies by teaching essential skills such as recognizing threats, safely rescuing individuals, and delivering critical medical care-especially bleeding control-before professional help arrives, following TECC guidelines.
What to Expect
- Hands-on instruction in bleeding control techniques, including direct pressure and tourniquet application.
 - Practical scenarios to build confidence in responding to various emergencies.
 - Certification as an Active Bystander upon successful completion.
 
Course Details
- Length: 4 hours
 - Prerequisite: None
 - Requirements:
- Ability to move an individual 10 feet with dynamic movements.
 - Willingness to practice and receive TECC medical applications.
 - Wear comfortable, functional clothing for active scenarios.
 - Minimum of 10 students required.

• Recommended to retake every two years.
