Topher’s 25-year journey in firearms is defined by a transition from enthusiast to educator. After years of serving as a Range Safety Officer at various facilities in Northern Virginia, he recognized a vital need for high-quality instruction and has spent the last two decades filling that gap. From his time as Ranges Director for the Izaak Walton League to his current role as one of the Concealed Carry Leads at XCAL, Topher has remained a steadfast advocate for hunter safety and self-defense.
Today, he focuses on helping individuals navigate the legal and practical requirements of carrying concealed in the DMV. He holds multiple NRA Instructor certifications and is a Maryland Qualified Handgun Instructor.
