ABOUT THIS COURSE
XCAL’s Intermediate Carbine course takes a student’s carbine skills to the next level. This course will dive much deeper into the manipulation of the carbine platform. Students will be leaving the booth behind and moving downrange to master the basics of ready positions, malfunction drills, reloads, transitioning from different shooting positions and the use of cover.
Intermediate carbine moves at a much faster pace than our introductory courses, and students should be comfortable with the basic operation of their carbine. We promise to make it an exciting, safe and fun learning experience. Get ready for your next level of carbine mastery!
This course serves as the prerequisite to our Advanced Carbine course.
Carbines may be rented with prior notice. Please contact the Training Department for rental availability. Ammunition and protective gear are available in the XCAL Store.
Virginia Law Requirements: U.S. Citizen with unexpired Government ID (Real ID or Valid U.S. Passport) or Naturalized citizens with DHS, INS ID, or Permanent U.S. Resident with Valid Government Photo ID.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
- Prerequisite: Carbine Basics
- Gear Required:
- Zeroed Carbine; rentals available
- Eye and hearing protection
- Three (3) magazines
- Magazine pouch and sling
- Optional dump pouch
- Ammunition Required: 200 rounds Ball or Frangible NO Green Tip, Tracer or Incendiary
- Recommended Gear: Pen and paper
- Dress: Closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes you can lay down in
