ABOUT THIS COURSE
XCAL’s Shotgun Basics course gives students the necessary skills needed to confidently operate their shotgun, whether new to shotguns or just needing a refresher. Our team of experienced professionals will guide students through the basics of shotgun use so that by the end of the course, they’ll have a comprehensive understanding of how shotguns work and know exactly what is needed to use them safely and accurately.
Students will learn loading and unloading of various shotguns, ammunition types and selection, and shotgun operation as well as advanced loading, reloading and basic slug/buck changeovers. This will ensure that everyone gets the most out of their shotgun. This course culminates in an intense hour on the range practicing all of the techniques covered in class and more.
Packed with both classroom instruction and hands-on experience, you’ll be ready to hit the range with confidence. Let’s get started!
Firearm rentals are available at the Range Check-in Counter. Ammunition and protective gear are available in the XCAL Store.
