Active Bystander: Beginner

This foundational course empowers participants to respond confidently to emergencies by teaching essential skills such as recognizing threats, safely rescuing individuals, and delivering critical medical care-especially bleeding control-before professional help arrives, following TECC guidelines.

What to Expect

  • Hands-on instruction in bleeding control techniques, including direct pressure and tourniquet application.
  • Practical scenarios to build confidence in responding to various emergencies.
  • Certification as an Active Bystander upon successful completion.

Course Details

  • Length: 4 hours
  • Prerequisite: None
  • Requirements:
    • Ability to move an individual 10 feet with dynamic movements.
    • Willingness to practice and receive TECC medical applications.
    • Wear comfortable, functional clothing for active scenarios.
    • Minimum of 10 students required.

Cost

• $180 per participant
• Recommended to retake every two years.
