ABOUT THIS COURSE
Unleash your inner dancer with XCAL’s Barre class. This is a unique and innovative barre class that uses your own bodyweight, resistance bands and small weighted balls as the primary equipment instead of a traditional ballet barre. This class combines elements from Pilates, yoga, and barre to provide a full-body workout that challenges your endurance, strength, and flexibility.
The class starts with a warm-up that incorporates slow stretches and light cardio exercises. Then the focus shifts to strength training exercises targeting the arms, legs, glutes, and core. The instructor will guide you through a series of small, controlled movements that engage your muscles and encourage proper alignment. Resistance bands and small weighted balls are used to add intensity and variety to the movements. Throughout the class, you will be challenged to hold positions and engage your muscles for longer periods of time, building endurance and increasing your heart rate. The final portion of the class provides a cool-down period that includes stretches and a calming meditation.
